It’s that time of year again when the weather starts cooling off and we start making plans to spend time with loved ones. Like many, we use this time to reflect on the year behind us, and to look ahead into the new year.
As we reflect, it’s hard to not think about the early days of Orbis when it was just the two of us starting out from our garages and living rooms. We’ve come such a long way in 20+ years! Not a day goes by that we don’t realize how fortunate we are to do what we do. And that’s why it’s fundamental to both of us in our personal and professional lives to give back.
We’re excited to officially announce our organization’s charitable platform, Orbis Cares. The name says it all. If we’ve had the pleasure of knowing you, we hope you feel the love and care that we pour into our work and relationships. We want to extend the same care to our local community and to those who need it most.
Throughout the years, we’ve been proud to support a variety of charitable initiatives. Some are industry-related through state forestry associations and national educational institutions. And many others are cause-related through organizations like the American Heart Association and more locally, HopeMatch. In whatever ways we’re able to, our mission is to positively impact those around us.
As the holidays approach, we’ll begin sharing highlights from some of our Orbis Cares projects. We hope you’ll join us from wherever you are, in whatever ways you can, in showing others that you care.
